WYCKOFF, NJ — The founder of a famed Wyckoff bakery has died, according to records.

Hanna Kino, the co-founder and co-owner of Wyckoff Quality Bakery — which she and her husband John opened in 1959 and closed decades later —, passed away this month at age 91, records show.

Kino, formerly of Wyckoff, was well known for running the bakery in a Wyckoff shopping center with her husband, who died in 2015, her obits said.

The bakery, which had other locations in Wayne, Tenafly, Ridgewood and Allendale, is remembered as the place "where butter makes the difference" — as the slogan read — and was known for its assorted collection of fresh-baked breads, cookies and cakes.

"A sweet woman and a dynamite bakery," one social media user commented on a post sharing Hanna Kino's obit.

"A lot of great memories of the bakery and time spent enjoying the delicious goodies baked by (the Kino) family," another commenter wrote.

A German immigrant, Hanna Kino had acquired business management skills and learned the importance of "quality" from working in her mother's sweets shops when she was younger. She was a "natural leader," according to her obit, and held many roles in the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce and other organizations as a local resident.

"To this day, I remember and chuckle at her teaching me to correctly put the strawberries on a strawberry whipped cream cake," another commenter said.

"May she rest in peace."
