“The extreme cold has been the cause of frozen water pipes in homes that have burst,” Chief Fox said.

“With another run of subzero cold coming on Thursday and Friday, residents should take the opportunity to make sure that any water lines near outside walls are insulated or kept reasonably warm to prevent freezing,” Chief Fox said. “Outside water lines for hoses should be turned off inside of the home.”
