Wyckoff Recreation Holds Coaching Certification Course March 12

The required certification provides partial civil immunity protection to volunteer coaches under the Little League Law.

Wyckoff Recreation will be hosting a Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. training course on Thursday, March 12 for all perspective coaches.

The Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic (Sports Awareness for Educating Today’s Youth) is a three-hour program that meets the “Minimum Standards for Volunteer Coaches Safety Orientation and Training Skills Programs” and provides partial civil immunity protection to volunteer coaches under the Little League Law, according to the Township of Wyckoff. The course is required in order to volunteer coach in Wyckoff. It only needs to be taken one time.

The clinic will be held in the Monroe Room of the Wyckoff Library. Check-in is between 6 and 6:30 p.m., and the course will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
