Residents of Wyckoff:

My name is Ethan Bell, and I am working in conjunction with the Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department on my Boy Scout Eagle project.

Since January, you may have noticed the new hydrant snow/location markers on fire hydrants in town. As part of my project, approximately 100 of these markers have been installed throughout Wyckoff primarily on the main roads by scouts from Troop 89 in Wyckoff.

A misnomer is that fire hydrants on the main roads can service the side roads. This may hold true for cul-da-sac’s and short streets, but most streets in Wyckoff have multiple hydrants.

If you are a resident or property owner that has a hydrant on your property, near your property or want to have your street be marked with these new snow/location markers, as part of my project I am offering residents the chance to purchase hydrant markers. The price is $15 per marker. The marker will be installed permanently to the hydrant by scouts from Troop 89 in Wyckoff.
