- ABQ BioPark has vaccinated its baby Orangutan. Bulan received his first medical exam and shot earlier than normal due to a good relationship with its keepers. He weighed in at five pounds during the medical exam. He is two months old. (KRQE News 13)
- The annual Doggie Dash returns on Nov. 6. It will be at Balloon Fiesta Park after a two-year hiatus. There will be a 5K race and a one-mile race. Animal Humane is hoping to raise $188,000 through the event. Registration is currently open. Click to register. (KRQE News 13)
- Grammy award-winning rapper Macklemore crashed a wedding in Albuquerque on Tuesday. He was in Albuquerque to perform at Isleta Amphitheater as Imagine Dragons' opening act. Macklemore performed his new single "Maniac" for the wedding reception. He spent formative years in New Mexico and reportedly cherishes his memories made in Albuquerque. (Albuquerque Journal)
