  1. An event on Saturday gave away thousands of books to local kids in need. The event had more than 6,000 books for all ages and 2,000 bilingual books for families and their children to choose. (KRQE News 13)
  2. Albuquerque students of high school wood shop classes helped to build dog houses for families in need. The students worked with community members and Albuquerque Animal Welfare to build the insulated dog houses. (KRQE News 13)
  3. The Albuquerque Public School board voted to approve a new school district map. In total, the new map will directly affect eight schools, which were placed into new districts. (Subscription: Albuquerque Journal)
