Here are the top three stories in Albuquerque today:

  1. The Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce is asking the Albuquerque City Council to proceed with the Gateway Center proposal. The Chamber wants the city to publicly commit to declaring that the city is not a campground and they want the Safe Open Spaces policy to be repealed. It is unclear whether the proposal will be on the council's meeting's next agenda. (KOB 4)
  2. Albuquerque's Rude Boys Cookies was robbed on Thursday night. An armed individual made off with several hundred dollars in cash. The store's employees locked the doors and called 911 following the incident. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the armed robbery. The store will now have security in the evenings. (KOAT New Mexico)
  3. The Department of Transportation has begun removing the downtown I-25 off-ramp. The construction is removing the northbound off-ramp at MLK Jr. Ave. The removal will hopefully improve traffic flow onto I-25. (KRQE News 13)
