Nation's Top Basketball Recruits to Play in Albuquerque This Weekend

Two-day Grind Session showcase to feature eight teams, eight games, and an impressive lineup of some of the nation's top prep prospects

For the second consecutive year, Albuquerque will host some of the nation’s top high school basketball players.

The two-day Grind Session event will be held December 29-30 at Menaul School (301 Menaul Boulevard NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107).

The Grind Session is a winter circuit of high school basketball events from late November until early March that consists of elite teams from all over the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. To put into perspective how good this circuit is: more than 20 former Grind Session players were selected in the first round of the past two NBA drafts!

"The Grind Session has taken high school basketball to new heights over the past decade, becoming the home and proving ground for the nation's best prospects and teams," said Cesar Vizcarrondo, Chief Brand Officer of The Grind Session.. "We're excited about bringing our elite circuit of events to the Duke City and look forward to a truly amazing weekend."

Albuquerque Prep will be one of eight teams from six different states competing in the event. The other participating teams include Colorado Prep (CO), DNA Prep (AZ), Eduprize Prep (AZ), Inspire Prep (AZ), SFBA Trinity Prep (NV), Utah Prep (UT), and West Oaks (FL).

The competition will also feature an impressive list of some of the nation’s top 100 prospects, including: Albuquerque Prep junior Jalin Holland, Utah Prep junior and Team USA gold medalist JJ Mandaquit, and SFBA Trinity Prep seniors Pape N’Diaye (UNLV commit) and Khaman Maker (St. John's commit), among others.
