  1. Not every Albuquerque Public Schools classroom will have a special air filter. The district began spending $10 million on the air filters but their installation has been delayed. Delivery issues, supply chain problems, and staffing shortages have caused the delay. About a couple hundred classrooms will not have the high-tech filtration system. The filters are designed to protect against airborne viruses such as COVID-19. (KOAT New Mexico)
  2. The University of New Mexico will be hosting a safety forum on Monday. The assembly will be at the Student Union Building in Ballroom B. The New Mexico Police Department, the Albuquerque Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation will be in attendance. The Islamic Center of New Mexico will be sending representatives. 3. The Albuquerque homicide rate is on pace to match last year's homicide record. According to the Albuquerque Police Department, the city had the deadliest year on record in 2021.
