Catholic Health Services Opens New Integrated Medical Center
A ribbon cutting was held for the new ambulatory care center in West Babylon on Friday.
West Babylon, NY — Catholic Health Services opened a new integrated care center at 501A Montauk Highway on Friday, January 24th. The facility is intended to offer a range of health care services in one location to better serve the needs of South Shore residents, according to Catholic Health Services (CHS.)
The center's medical team includes two primary care doctors, a cardiologist, an endocrinologist and physical and occupational therapists. There are plans to add another primary care physician, endocrinologist, a breast surgeon, a dermatologist and a podiatrist.
“Integrated Care at West Babylon meets a range of patients’ health care needs, providing convenient access in one setting,” said Sunny Chiu, the chief administrative officer of CHS Medical Group.

“This location represents the front lines of CHS’s larger network, which is designed to deliver high-quality health care at all points in our patients' lives, from physician offices to diagnostic testing centers to some of Long Island’s most distinguished hospitals and nursing homes.”
The center joins other ambulatory care centers in Commack and East Hills. CHS plans to open more centers in 2020. The ambulatory surgery centers treat a range of medical needs from gastrointestinal, orthopedics, spine, pain management to ear nose and throat, ophthalmology and podiatry. The center will use technology to expedite care with a focus on electronic appointments, results, prescriptions and information.

Chiu told Patch why West Babylon was chosen for the new center
"The West Babylon area is a community served by Good Samaritan Hospital where a number of community members are in a patient population being managed currently by CHS primary care physicians. It's an area where residents in the vicinity would benefit from the Integrated Care model."
