Bay Shore's Bearfoot Yoga Will Downsize, Move Due To Pandemic
The yoga studio will close its current Main St. location this September and join a nearby dance studio.

BAY SHORE, NY —Bearfoot Yoga and Wellness Center has held yoga classes for five years on Main Street but will close its doors this September.
Owner Gina Lee explained in an email to customers that the yoga studio will be downsizing but not shuttering completely.
"It is with tender feelings that I write to you to say goodbye to our yoga sanctuary for the past five years due to rent being unsustainable after the impact on our community these past 18 months," she wrote.

"I am very happy and optimistic, however, to share with you a collaborative endeavor that will only take us across the street and upstairs to join a dance studio cooperative that is ready to welcome us with open arms."

Lee explained that there will be some changes to the class schedule but that the times should remain mostly intact.
"The new space will be a community center that will host a variety of events, dance classes for adults and kids, African drumming, kids' theater and dance workshops, women’s self-defense and more."
The studio will also begin collaborating with Lindenhurst's Sea Change Holistic Wellness Center for workshops and classes.
