Man Opens Fire At Driver After Bed-Stuy Car Chase, Cops Say

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A man who opened fire at someone after pursuing them in a dangerous car chase through the streets of Bed-Stuy is still on the loose, according to police.

The suspect, driving a dark-colored Genesis SUV, started chasing a 34-year-old man who was driving on Lewis Avenue just after midnight on Oct. 6, according to police.

Eventually, when the 34-year-old crashed his car, the man took out a gun and started chasing him on foot, according to police and video.

The two can be seen on surveillance footage running through a nearby parking lot, the 34-year-old trying and failing to escape in a store whose doors were locked.

The man shot at the 34-year-old multiple times before heading back to his car and fleeing the scene, according to police and the video. None of the bullets hit the victim, police said.

Police released surveillance footage of the incident on Wednesday. They said the suspect was last seen wearing all black clothing:
