As they say, all good things must come to an end. Starting Friday, I will take on the role as Local Editor of East Meadow Patch.
I just wanted to thank you all for being so warm and welcoming to this Yonkers girl. I have come across so many wonderful people and covered some amazing stories the year that I have been here.
What I love the most about the Bellmores, is its sense of community. I witnessed hundreds of parents fight endlessly to keep a school that was dear to many in North Bellmore open and I saw the entire community come together to support four children who tragically lost their parents.
Bellmore is filled with residents who love their community and who will go to great lengths to improve it for future generations.
Bellmore Patch will now be in the hands of Michael Ganci, the current editor of East Meadow Patch. I know that Michael, a lifelong Bellmore resident, will do an excellent job. Feel free to reach out to him at Michael.Ganci@patch.com and say hello.
I won't be far, but I will miss you Bellmore. I am so thankful that I received an opportunity to get to know this great community.
