Another woman, Yvonne Sandiford, was fatally struck last week in Bed-Stuy by back-to-back hit-and-run drivers, police said.

"New York City must also do more to hold hit-and-run drivers accountable. It’s unacceptable that two drivers hit a fellow New Yorker and kept driving," said Transportation Alternatives Executive Director Danny Harris after Sandiford's death.

In Dyker Heights, a 72-year-old woman was crossing 64th Street at 11th Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Monday when she was struck by a truck traveling southbound on 11th Avenue, according to the NYPD.

The truck attempted to turn left onto 64th Street, slamming into the woman, authorities said.

The woman was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition while the 40-year-old driver remained on the scene, police said.

There were no arrests by Tuesday as police continued to investigate.
