11-Year-Old Boy Critically Injured In Brooklyn Hit-And-Run Crash, Police Say
The vehicle was found abandoned after the incident, police said.
BROOKLYN, NY — Police are searching for a driver who critically injured an 11-year-old boy riding a scooter in a Brooklyn hit-and-run crash on Monday, police said.
The incident happened near 2183 Ocean Parkway in Gravesend around 5:50 p.m.
According to police, a 2026 Acura Integra sedan was traveling northbound on Ocean Parkway when it struck the 11-year-old boy on the scooter.

Debris from the crash also struck a nearby 25-year-old pedestrian, police said.
The driver of the Acura fled the scene. The vehicle was found abandoned on Ocean Parkway and Avenue R.

The 11-year-old was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition. The other pedestrian injured was also taken to the same hospital for treatment.
No arrests have been made yet. An investigation remains ongoing.
