2 Boys Arrested, Stabbed Man Inside NYC Park: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — Two boys have been arrested and charged after allegedly stabbing a man at a Brooklyn park Tuesday evening, police said.

The incident happened in Maria Hernandez Park near Starr Street in Bushwick around 7:30 p.m.

According to police, a 41-year-old man, confronted the two boys, ages 12 and 15, after they began harassing a small dog.

An argument between the man and boys escalated, and the duo attacked the 41-year-old, stabbing him in the abdomen and armpit, police said.

The two boys were arrested shortly after the incident. They have been both charged with three counts of assault, with the 15-year-old boy also facing menacing and criminal possession of a weapon charges.

The 41-year-old man was taken to the Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was listed in stable condition. According to the New York Daily News, the victim was a dog trainer who was with another dog owner at the park.
