Police say another 12-year-old boy was found with a chest wound and rushed to Brookdale University Hospital, while investigators continue probing how the confrontation unfolded and whether any additional suspects are involved.

The Transformation of Brooklyn's Kingsboro Psychiatric Center Begins (bkreader.com) — A massive overhaul of East Flatbush’s Kingsboro Psychiatric Center into Sparrow Square is moving ahead, bringing about 1,000 affordable and supportive apartments to Brooklyn over several phases. The Flatbush shooting case was reversed by New York’s top court, and now the Brooklyn charges are fully dismissed, allowing him to rebuild his life, career, and relationship with his son.

Brooklyn church pastor pleads guilty to tax evasion scheme (brooklyneagle.com) — A Brooklyn pastor who founded a local church and daycare has pleaded guilty in federal court in Brooklyn to a years-long tax evasion scheme involving nearly $3 million in unpaid federal taxes. Prosecutors say he used church and daycare funds for personal luxury expenses and failed to report the income, and he now faces up to five years in prison plus restitution.
