2 Killed After Motorcyclist Ejected In Brooklyn Crash, Police Say
Two people riding a motorcycle were killed Monday night in a collision with an SUV in Brooklyn's Cypress Hills neighborhood, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A late-night crash between a motorcycle and an SUV in Brooklyn left two people dead, authorities said Tuesday.
Reinaldo Rodriguez, 42, was riding westbound on Atlantic Avenue with his passenger, 42-year-old Mirella Vega, around 8:10 p.m. Monday when his 2025 Harley-Davidson collided with a 2021 Mercedes-Benz SUV driven by a 66-year-old man at the intersection of Elton Street in Cypress Hills, police said.
As the SUV began making a left turn onto northbound Elton Street, it struck the motorcycle, ejecting both Rodriguez and Vega onto the roadway, police said.

Emergency responders pronounced Rodriguez dead at the scene, while Vega was rushed to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.
The SUV driver remained at the scene and was later taken to Brookdale University Hospital in stable condition, police said.

No arrests have been made, and the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad is continuing to investigate the crash, police added.
