2 Men Killed In Separate Shootings In Brooklyn: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — Two men were shot and killed in separate incidents in Brooklyn over the weekend, police said.

The first incident happened on Saturday around 2:48 a.m. in Carroll Gardens.

An unidentified victim was shot multiple times in Carroll Park, police said.

The man was transported to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has yet to be identified, and the shooter remains at large, police said.

The second incident happened on Sunday in front of 837 Utica Avenue around 12:55 a.m.

Officers found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the arm.

The victim — Johanci Chapman — was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he succumbed to his injuries.

There have been no arrests at this time in both incidents, and investigations remains ongoing.
