2 NYPD Officers Attacked At Brooklyn Subway Station
The incident happened at the 4th Avenue-9th Street station in Brooklyn.

BROOKLYN, NY — Two police officers were attacked while on patrol in the New York City subway system Tuesday night.
The incident happened at the 4th Avenue-9th Street station in Brooklyn around 11:40 p.m., police said.
The officers were patrolling the station when they asked 40-year-old Mario Valenzuela to step off an F train after he was acting disorderly.

Valenzuela is accused of resisting the officers' orders and attacking them — kicking one of the officers in the knee.
The 40-year-old has been charged with assaulting a police officer, obstruction of governmental administration and disorderly conduct, among other crimes

Police believe Valenzuela may have been intoxicated at the time of the incident.
An investigation remains ongoing.
