2 Die In Central Brooklyn: 21-YO Shot, Fatal Fall

Police say two young men died in unconnected incidents in Crown Heights and Prospect Lefferts Gardens Monday.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — Two young men died in unconnected incidents in Central Brooklyn Monday — one shot dead and the other took a fatal fall, police said.

In Crown Heights, a 21-year-old man was fatally shot in Monday about 7:25 p.m., and police have yet to find his shooter, according to the NYPD.

The young man was found on Carroll Street between Franklin and Bedford avenue with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the NYPD.

He was rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, cops said.

No arrests had been made Tuesday, and police did not identify the young man.

Nearby in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, a 27-year-old man was found lying on the ground unconscious on Linden Boulevard between Rogers and Bedford avenues about 5:05 p.m., according to the NYPD.

Police determined the man fell from an elevated position, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The cause of the man's fall had not been determined, and the investigation remained open Tuesday.
