1 Teen In Critical Condition After Stabbing Near BK High School: NYPD

BROWNSVILLE, NY — One teenager was in critical condition and two others injured after a stabbing near Brownsville Academy High School Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The three teenagers were attacked about 2:55 p.m. on East New York Avenue near East 98th Street, according to the NYPD.

An 18-year-old was in critical condition after being stabbed in the chest, and two 17-year-olds were in stable condition after being stabbed in the ear and chest, according to the NYPD.

The three teenagers were rushed to an area hospital, police said.

Police believed the stabbing occurred on the street based on preliminary information, according to the NYPD.

It was not immediately clear whether the stabbing was related to the school, police said. No suspect had been identified early Tuesday evening.
