6 Brooklyn Coffee Shops Among NYC's Best: Ranking
Eater New York contends coffee shops in Williamsburg, Bushwick, Prospect Heights, and other neighborhoods rank among the city's best.
BROOKLYN, NY — Brooklyn is home to six of New York City's hottest coffee shops, according to a list published Wednesday in Eater New York.
"While every New Yorker has their favorite corner spot, some cafes rise above the rest with expertly brewed cups of coffee and award-winning pastries," the curators write.
Here are six of the best coffee shops not only in Brooklyn, but in the city as a whole, according to Eater.

Yafa Coffee in Sunset Park - 4415 4th Avenue
Opened by a pair of cousins in 2019, Yaya roasts an in-house line of coffee and its Yemeni-rooted food is just as good as its java, according to Eater.

Devoción in Williamsburg - 69 Grand Street
A roastery as well as a cafe, Devoción is so serious about freshness that it "claims that its raw beans arrive from Colombia within days of being harvested," according to Eatery.
Sey Coffee in Bushwick - 18 Grattan Street
A "bright and airy" spot with a West Coast vibe and coffee with Nordic-style flavor, Sey "is regarded as one of the better microroasters" in the city, Eater writes.
Dayglow in Bushwick - 8 Wilson Avenue
New this year and straight out of Los Angeles, Dayglow carries coffee from more than one brand and roasts its own beans, "which have milk chocolate, lychee, butterscotch, and mandarin notes," according to Eater.
Villager in Prospect Heights - 841 Classon Avenue
An "ambitious coffee shop masquerading as a laid-back neighborhood cafe," Villager carries a variety of beans including those from other cafes on this list, like Sey and Dayglow, Eater says.
East One Coffee Roasters in Carroll Gardens - 384 Court Street
This coffeehouse's menu boasts pour-overs and standard cafe drinks—and its coffee is roasted on the premises, according to Eater.
