Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:

  1. An 8-year-old boy was one of four people injured in a shooting on Quincy Street on Saturday night. Gunfire erupted during a neighborhood barbecue at around 11:30 p.m., and the child was grazed on the left by a bullet. The incident was the first of four shootings that shook Brooklyn between Saturday and Sunday. (ABC 7 NY)
  2. A man was left in critical condition after suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. the 33-year-old was shot in the Brevoort Houses in Bed-Stuy late on Saturday night. No arrests have yet been made in the incident. (CBS New York)
  3. A 67-year-old woman was killed in a car accident that injured four others on Saturday. The accident was spurred on by an attempted traffic stop due to "mismatched plates on the suspect's vehicle." The reported vehicle then fled at high speed, resulting in the crash. (NBC New York)
  4. Details have emerged in the accident that left a 41-year-old woman in critical condition. The suspect was revealed to be her husband, who was arrested and charged with drunk driving, assault, and more after running over his wife. The suspect, 34-year-old Myroslav Iakymovych did not attempt to flee and was arrested on the scene. (Yahoo News)
