Another Pedestrian Killed In BK Hit-And-Run, Cops Say
A 72-year-old woman was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in Bay Ridge Thursday, police said.

BAY RIDGE, NY — A hit-and-run driver fatally struck a pedestrian in Bay Ridge Thursday night, marking the fourth such crash in just two weeks in New York City.
A 72-year-old woman was crossing Marine Avenue near 96th Street about 7:50 p.m. when a driver struck her, knocking her under a nearby parked car, according to the NYPD.
The driver fled, and the woman was pronounced dead on the scene, police said. Police continued to investigate Friday.

Hit-and-run drivers have struck at least three other pedestrians in the last two weeks throughout Brooklyn and Queens.
On Wednesday, a 60-year-old woman was crossing the street near 90th Avenue and 188th Street in Queens when a vehicle rammed into her, sending her to an area hospital in critical condition, police said.

On Nov. 3, 79-year-old Yvonne Sandiford was fatally struck by back-to-back hit-and-run drivers in Bed-Stuy — a crash that shook the Brooklyn community for weeks.
And on Monday, 46-year-old Mohammed Hossain was again struck by two hit-and-run drivers and pronounced dead on the scene in Borough Park.
