Here are the top three stories in Brooklyn today:

  1. A Jewish man was slapped in a suspected hate crime on Sunday. The 22-year-old victim was on the sidewalk of Avenue L when the suspect exited from the passenger side of a light colored minivan and proceeded to slap the victim in the face. The victim refused medical attention at the scene, while the suspect remains at large. (PIX 11)
  2. A 15-year-old boy was charged for back-to-back anti-Jewish hate crimes in Brooklyn on Feb. 4. Over the span of approximately ten minutes, the teen punched two Jewish victims in separate incidents. The suspect was arrested and charged with assault and hate crimes. (Yahoo News)
  3. Two St. Patrick's Day parades will be held this year in Brooklyn's Park Slope and Bay Ridge neighborhoods. The Bay Ridge will be held on March 27, and will begin with a service at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. The event in Park Slope will be held on March 20, and will convene at the Holy Name of Jesus Church. (Brooklyn Paper)
