Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:
- Four people have been arrested in connection to the overdose death of beloved actor and Brooklyn native, Michael K. Williams. One of the four defendants is charged with selling the actor the fentanyl-laced heroin that led to his death of the age of 54. All four men face conspiracy charges that could leave them in prison for up to 40 years. (NBC New York)
- A Brooklyn man was fatally shot outside of his Canarsie home on Tuesday afternoon. Tahjay Dobson was shot in the head outside of his home on Avenue L at approximately 2:20 p.m. and was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The shooter fled the scene in a dark SUV, and no arrests have yet been made. (Yahoo News)
- The NYPD arrested 24-year-old Babyson Dumervil and charged him with assault after he allegedly punched a Jewish man in the face last month. The incident occurred on Jan. 22 when the suspect punched the Orthodox man in the nose, and it is being investigated as a hate crime. (The Times of Israel)
- Brooklyn rapper Tdott Woo, 22, was fatally shot only hours after signing a recording contract. (Paywall: New York Daily News)
