Attacker Yelled 'Free Palestine' Before Throwing Rock At Man: Police
Police are investigating an attack in Williamsburg as a hate crime.

BROOKLYN, NY — A man yelled "free Palestine" before throwing a rock at another man in Brooklyn last month — an attack being investigating as a hate crime, according to the NYPD and a police source.
A 45-year-old man was walking on Montrose Avenue between Union Avenue and Broadway on Nov. 22 when his suspected attacker approached on a bike, according to the NYPD.
The attacker yelled "free Palestine," then threw a rock at the 45-year-old, cutting his leg, according to a police source.

Police were investigating the attack as an antisemitic hate crime, but had made no arrests by Monday, according to the NYPD and a police source.
In Chelsea, a Jewish server was attacked with a chair and called a “f—ing racist” outside a restaurant last month, New York City Council Member Erik Bottcher said in a X post Sunday.

And last week, police announced two other investigations into anti-Jewish hate crimes across Brooklyn.
A stranger punched the 40-year-old and stole his cell phone Thursday while yelling anti-Jewish statements, police said Friday.
In November, a Williamsburg restaurant display was set ablaze in another anti-Jewish hate crime under investigation, police said.
