Boy, 17, Shot Outside NYC School: NYPD
The incident happened near Dr. Susan S. McKinney Secondary School, police said.
BROOKLYN, NY — A 17-year-old boy was shot outside a Brooklyn school Thursday morning, police said.
The incident happened near Dr. Susan S. McKinney Secondary School on Park Avenue near North Oxford Street around 8:30 a.m., police said.
The student was shot in the stomach and was transported to New York Presbyterian-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

Police are still looking for the shooter. A description of the suspect was not readily available as of Thursday evening.
The school was briefly under a shelter-in-place order, which has since been lifted.

The incident happened on the first day city students returned to classes after the holiday break.
