Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:
- The NYDP are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with two shooting incidents at a Brooklyn hotel in the past week. The first incident occurred at The Brooklyn Way Hotel on May 30, when a man fired a round near the elevator of the hotel. The same person returned on June 4 and fired at a utility closet. (SILive.com)
- A teenager was stabbed in the groin during a fight with a 16-year-old boy in Sheepshead Bay on Saturday. The 18-year-old victim was engaged in an argument with the suspect before he was stabbed and left in critical condition. The attacker was arrested and charged with assault.(Yahoo News)
- A fireworks incident at a Brooklyn mall incited panic at a Brooklyn mall on Saturday afternoon. The loud explosions led to a shooting scare, but it was found that no shots were in fact fired at the Kings Plaza Shopping Center. Police responded to the scene and proceeded to shut down the mall. (CBS New York)
- A car crash led to a shootout and two wounded individuals in Bushwick on Sunday morning. Two drivers collided at about 4:20 a.m. and became involved in an argument. The 21-year-old driver of one car was shot in the chest and the leg, while the other driver arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm. (Yahoo News)
- Three people since January have been robbed of a single shoe, in Brooklyn and Queens. Police believe the same suspect to be responsible for all three incidents. No arrested have yet been made in the ongoing investigation. (PIX 11)
