Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:

  1. A man was caught and charged with sexual abuse and harassment on Friday after he tried to grope a 12-year-old girl. Raymond Coleman, 20, was arrested one week after he attempted to assault the girl on Livonia Avenue in Brownsville. Records indicate that Coleman lived near where the incident occurred. (Patch)
  2. A new exhibit at Floyd Bennett Field showcases the history of New York City's sanitation department. The Sanitation Museum has already opened for the public, but a ceremony will be held on June 25 to commemorate the exhibit. The project was led by the Jamaica Bay–Rockaway Parks Conservancy, along with the Gateway National Recreation Area, the Sanitation Foundation, and others. (Brooklyn Paper)
  3. An additional entrance for the York Street subway station is estimated to cost nearly $500 million. The 86-year-old station has served DUMBO for decades, and the general consensus for an additional entrance at the bustling station has been strong. The structure of the existing facility poses many challenges to additional construction. (AMNY)
  4. Four EMTs were injured on Monday after two ambulances collided in Park Slope. Just before 10:30 p.m., the vehicles collided at the intersection of Union Street and 7th Avenue, sending one of the ambulances into the wall of a Bank of America. No civilians were injured in the crash, while the medical technicians were taken to a nearby hospital. (WABC-TV)
  5. A group of five people have stolen more than $60,000 cash from ATMs over the course of the last six months. The thieves have stolen from 40 businesses across Brooklyn and Queens, as well as stealing two cars during the same crime spree. The group has been successful in all but four of their attempted robberies. (Patch)
