Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:

  1. A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed early on Saturday morning in Brooklyn. The teenager was found unresponsive near Sutter Avenue and Osborn Street in Brownsville after 3 a.m., having suffered gunshot wounds to the torso. The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have yet been made. (CBS New York)
  2. A 43-year-old man was killed in Crown Heights on Friday night after being shot multiple times in the chest. The victim was shot on Carroll Avenue at around 9 p.m. when the gunman began firing. No arrests have yet been made in the shooting.(Yahoo News)
  3. Today is the last opportunity to see this year's Photoville collection. The art installation includes 60 outdoor exhibitions in 20 locations. The photo collections in Brooklyn can be found along the East River throughout DUMBO. (Brooklyn Paper)
  4. A pair of violent crashes shook Brooklyn last night, after a 41-year-old woman, and an 11-year-old boy were left in critical condition in separate incidents. In Sheepshead Bay at around 5:30 p.m., the female victim was engaged in a dispute with the driver of a Genesis SUV, and hung onto the passenger door as he tried to drive away. The victim was thrown to the ground, and crushed under the vehicle as it drove off. In East New York, an 11-year-old was struck by an ice cream truck while he was riding his bike just before 7 p.m. The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition. (AMNY)
  5. Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a homeless man early Saturday morning. Just after 4 a.m. near East 108th Street and Farragut Road in Canarsie, the 60-year-old man was struck and killed while he was pushing a shopping cart across the street. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene while the suspect remains on the loose. (AMNY)
