Bystanders Stop Would-Be Sexual Assaulter In Brooklyn: NYPD
Police say passersby stepped in as the attacker tried to expose his penis laying on top of a woman in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS, NY — Bystanders stepped in when they saw a man shove a woman down and start to expose his penis in Brooklyn, according to the NYPD.
Police say the would-be sexual assaulter attacked the 36-year-old woman about 9:40 p.m. Aug. 28 on Clarkson Avenue between Bedford and Flatbush avenues.
He threw the woman down, climbed on top of her and started to choke her with one hand, police said. Some bystanders stepped in and the man fled, according to the NYPD.

Police continued to look for the man Thursday. The woman was left with only minor injuries and refused medical attention, according to the NYPD.
