NYPD Employee Busted For Stealing From BK Target: Police
A civilian NYPD employee was caught shoplifting from a Bay Parkway Target, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A civilian NYPD employee was caught stealing from a Brooklyn Target, police said Wednesday.
Lateesha Roberts, a Police Communications Technician, stands accused of stealing under $1,000 of goods from a Target on Bay Parkway about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the NYPD.
Roberts, 30, now faces charges including petit larceny and possession of stolen goods.

Roberts was hired by the city in 2016 but, city records show she is currently on leave. Her salary is listed as just over $53,000 per year, city data show.
Target recently announced it would close its East Harlem location — along with three others in Seattle, Portland and San Francisco — citing theft and crime.
