Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:

  1. Police arrested 83-year-old Harvey Marcelin in connection with the grisly murder of a woman, whose torso was found last week outside of a Brooklyn store. Marcelin had previously spent over 50 years in prison for two prior murder convictions. The 68-year-old victim had been living at an LGBTQ shelter in Clinton Hill at the time of her death.   2. A pair of burglars in a Feb. 26 bodega robbing have been caught on surveillance camera. The incident took place at 4:15 a.m. at the store on Nicholas Avenue, near O'Brien Place. The thieves managed to steal $4,000 from the cash register, and allegedly tried to steal an ATM. (CBS New York)
  3. A Brooklyn man was charged on Wednesday for the $1 million heist spree of a check-cashing business in Queens. Robert "Chico" Rodriguez, 37, could face life in prison for his robberies at gunpoint of the Jamaica business. Two of his accomplices pistol-whipped the owner of the business, and one of his co-conspirators was also charged in the robbery. (Patch)
