Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:

  1. Detectives are searching for a suspect responsible for a deadly shooting in a Crown Heights apartment building lobby. At about 1 a.m. on April 9, two men were shot at 1144 Bergen St., leaving 38-year-old Kevin Alves dead, and another victim injured. Police have been unable to obtain a description of the suspect, as the investigation remains ongoing. (AMNY)
  2. Westbound lanes of the Belt Parkway were shut down after a shooting incident that involved the police. Police apparently fired shots at a suspect along part of the highway on Sunday morning. No injuries were reported in the incident, and no further details have been revealed.(WABC-TV)
  3. The NYPD has released surveillance footage of a jogger being attacked in Bushwick last month. The video shows the suspect hitting the female jogger's backside, and pulling out a knife and waving it at the victim. The victim was able to escape unharmed, while the attacker remains at large.
