  1. An East New York man went missing in Downtown Brooklyn just miles from his home. Joel McConney was last seen on Livingston Street at around 8 a.m. on Monday. The 36 year old stands at 5 feet 11 inches and weighs around 190 pounds. (Patch)
  2. A 16-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to the torso late on Tuesday night. The victim was on Wyckoff Street in Boerum Hill when he felt the pain in his torso. The teenager was transported to a local hospital in stable condition, while it remains unclear who, or where the gunshot came from. (PIX11 New York News)
  3. The Brooklyn Tower laid claim to the title of tallest building in the borough and will soon be home to hundreds of residents. The 93-story skyscraper yields 150 condos from the 53rd floor up. Local housing advocates have voiced concerns that the tower, and other surrounding developments, will continue to drive up surrounding rents, further gentrifying the neighborhood, and drive out longtime residents. (Spectrum News NY1)
  4. A pair of criminals are wanted for scheming elderly people out of large sums of money. The duo is wanted in connection to four cases in which they have lied to the victims, claiming that a family member needs thousands of dollars to be bailed out of jail. The thieves have stolen nearly $30,000 from their victims. (NBC New York)
  5. A city bus collided with a car during rush hour on Tuesday evening, leaving five people injured, and two more in serious condition. At about 5:40 p.m., a gold Toyota Camry attempted to pass the MTA bus on E. 66th Street in Mill Basin, before the vehicles collided. All seven of the injured individuals were treated at a local hospital. (MSN)
