Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:

  1. A man was chased into a Crown Heights bodega and was shot killed on Thursday night. Just before 11:30 p.m., 30-year-old Adiyb Ramkissoon was found in the deli with gunshot wounds to his torso. The victim lived nearby the scene of the shooting, and investigators continue to search for the suspect and determine the reason for the shooting. (ABC 7 NY)
  2. A 31-year-old man died from multiple gunshot wounds on Thursday night near 1092 Willmohr St. The victim, identified as Gary Delima, was transported to Brookdale Hospital and was pronounced dead. The investigation remains ongoing at this time. (New York Daily News)
  3. A Fort Greene NYCHA development had its decades-old boilers replaced this week. The 15-story Whitman Houses had four of the 78-year-old boilers replaced after several years of complaints from residents. The upgrades to the Whitman Houses represent just one of many NYCHA complexes facing similar issues. (Patch)
  4. More than 50 Park Slope businesses and charities are organizing fundraising events to support the humanitarian effort in Ukraine. After two weeks of armed conflict, many Ukrainians are running out of food, medication and diapers as the situation grows more dire. Thus far, their efforts have raised over $7,000. (Brooklyn Paper)
