The search of Brianna Suggs' home stemmed from a probe into potential illegal campaign contributions to Adams from Turkey, reports say.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — Federal investigators on Thursday searched the Brooklyn home of a fundraising consultant who worked closely with Mayor Eric Adams, according to multiple reports.

The New York Times reported Thursday evening that it stemmed from a probe about whether foreign money from Turkey was funneled into his 2021 mayoral campaign. The investigation also looked into whether his campaign kicked back benefits to a Brooklyn construction company and Turkish officials, the report states.

The fundraising consultant, Brianna Suggs, has been a key component of Adams' fundraising efforts, and an FBI spokesperson confirmed to the New York Times it was "carrying out law enforcement action" at Suggs' Crown Heights property.

Patch could not immediately reach Suggs for comment.

Suggs — who listed her current position on LinkedIn as a fundraiser with the Brooklyn Democratic Party — claims to have raised $18.4 million as a Fundraiser and Director of Logistics on Adams' 2021 campaign. Her firm has earned over $150,000 from the campaign since 2021, according to the New York Post.

She previously worked for Adams for over four years when he served as Brooklyn Borough President, according to her LinkedIn page.

A representative for Adams' 2021 campaign told Patch Adams had not been contacted as part of the inquiry. Pitta said the campaign would comply "as appropriate."

"He has always held the campaign to the highest standards," said Campaign Counsel Vito Pitta.

Democratic Party Chair Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn told Patch in a statement Suggs worked in a volunteer capacity for the Kings County Democratic County Committee.

"Brianna Suggs served in a volunteer capacity for the Kings County Democratic County Committee on a couple of planned events which primarily included handling logistics, organizing, and planning for our event space. As the Party Chair, I am principally responsible for raising funds and gathering our network of donors," Bichotte Hermelyn said in a statement to Patch.

"I know Brianna Suggs as a smart, conscientious, and dedicated professional through our interactions, and I hold her in the highest regards.”

Neighbors told the New York Post they heard screaming near the house Thursday morning, and that the house was boarded up.

Suggs' website lists work with many New York institutions, including Brooklyn Democrats, state Assembly Member Al Taylor and state Assembly hopeful Hercules Reid.

Adams on Wednesday mysteriously canceled a high-profile White House meeting to address "a matter," according to a City Hall spokesperson.

Suggs and other Adams' campaign fundraisers have come under question before. Earlier this year, a Daily News report found that while Suggs was soliciting donations to the campaign, she was also lobbying on behalf of a Manhattan property owner with business in his administration's hands.

While not illegal, watchdogs said the move didn't "look good."

A political action committee tied to Adams that had raised over $1 million from Trump-friendly real estate moguls and nightclub owners, Politico reported.

Adams still had two appearances on his schedule for Thursday — an interview on Telemundo 47 and a Día de Muertos celebration at Gracie Mansion.
