Here are the top stories today in Brooklyn:
- The NYPD is searching for two masked suspects, both in surgical masks, who broke the window of a parked car and robbed the driver before fleeing. The 40-year-old victim was sitting at the corner of 5th Avenue and 34th Street when his window was smashed, and his phone, wallet, and keys stolen. Surveillance videos of the crime were released as the suspects remain at large. (NBC New York)
- A man was shot and critically wounded while sitting in his car on Wednesday night. The 24 year old was sitting in his Honda Civic in Brownsville when a gunman approached the car and began shooting. The shooter fled south on Junius Avenue while the victim was transported to Brookdale Hospital. (Yahoo News)
- Industry City (IC) announced a partnership with the Freelancers Union, and have added them to their Brooklyn campus. IC hopes to provide education to independent workers in workshops, tax and legal assistance, and more by partnering with the nonprofit organization. (AMNY)
