Fire Injures 5 At BK Housing Development: FDNY
A blaze sent five people to the hospital Thursday morning in Crown Heights.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — A fire ripped through a Crown Heights housing development Thursday morning, injuring five people, according to the FDNY.
The blaze started about 8 a.m. Thursday on the fifth floor of a 14-story building on Albany Avenue near St Marks Avenue, officials said.
Two civilians and three firefighters were sent to an area hospital with minor injuries, according to the FDNY.

The fire burned for nearly an hour before the fire was controlled about 8:50 a.m., officials said.
