Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:
- The NYPD are questioning a 20-year-old man in connection with a deadly double stabbing in Brooklyn on Saturday night. Two security guards were attacked at an event they were working in Gowanus, leaving the 25-year-old victim dead from a knife wound to his chest. Sources familiar with the case said that the suspect got into a heated argument with the security guards while trying to gain access to the party, and proceeded to pull out a sharp object and attack the two men. (AMNY)
- On Saturday, the Brooklyn Bishop Robert Brennan held mass with the Ukrainian community at Guardian Angel Roman Catholic Church. The majority of the parishioners are from Ukraine, many of whom have immediate relatives and friends still living in Ukraine. (WABC-TV)
- A man was fatally struck by a train at the Broadway Junction station at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night. Authorities rushed to the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead on-site. At this time, the incident remains under investigation. (Local Accident Reports)
