IHOP Worker, 67, Dies After Being Stabbed Inside Brooklyn Restaurant

BROOKLYN, NY — A 67-year-old IHOP worker was stabbed to death late Friday in a shocking attack at a Brooklyn pancake spot, police said.

Just before 11:40 p.m. Friday, 67-year-old Hector Reinoso-Perez was stabbed in the torso inside an East New York IHOP following a confrontation with his attacker, police said.

Another man, 41 and unidentified, suffered a slash wound to his hand during the attack but declined medical treatment at the scene, authorities said.

EMS rushed Hector Reinoso-Perez to Brookdale University Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

According to reports, the assailant—who is still at large—followed Reinoso-Perez, a cleaner, into a bathroom and fatally stabbed him. The motive behind the attack remains unknown.
