(Updated) Here Are Your Brooklyn Winners From Tuesday's Primary Election

BROOKLYN, NY — In the end, there were few surprises during Tuesday's electoral primaries in Brooklyn, with most races won by wide margins, and incumbents beating back challengers with ease.

In Park Slope, the primary to fill outgoing Assemblyman James Brennan's seat was won by Robert Carroll. State Sen. Velmanette Montgomery, representing neighborhoods stretching from Bed-Stuy to Sunset Park, handily defeated primary challenger Michael Cox. In Bed-Stuy, Tremaine S. Wright won the primary to fill the seat of Assemblywoman Annette Robinson. And incumbent State Sen. Martin Dilan, who represents Greenpoint, Williamsburg and Bushwick, held on against challenger Debbie Medina.

Here's rundown of Brooklyn's races of note:

State Senate Dist. 18, Democratic Primary: Greenpoint, Williamsburg and Bushwick

• Martin Malave Dilan: 55.04 %

State Senate Dist. 19, Democratic Primary: East New York

• Mercedes Narcisse: 23.36 %
• Roxanne J. Persaud: 73.83 %

State Senate Dist. 25, Democratic Primary: Bed-Stuy, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, BoCoCa, Dumbo, Red Hook, Sunset Park

• Michael Cox: 29.32 %
• Velmanette Montgomery: 65.61 %

State Assembly Dist. 42, Democratic Primary: Flatbush and Ditmas Park

• Rodneyse Bichotte: 73.82 %
• R. M. Curry-Smithson: 19.37 %
• Troy Odendhal: 5.90 %
