Here are the top stories in Brooklyn today:

  1. An early morning fire in Kensington left seven people injured. Video was captured showing flames shooting out of the top of a house and spreading next door. The fire started at approximately 4 a.m. on Thursday, and officials said it took about two hours to control the blaze. (CBS New York)
  2. A 20 year old was killed after he rode his electric scooter into a parked delivery truck early on Thursday morning. Luis Ramos-Cumez was riding north on 86th Street when he and a 35-year-old passenger on the back of the scooter were launched into the street, with Ramos-Cruz suffering severe trauma to the head. The passenger was taken to NYU Langone Hospital in serious but stable condition. (Yahoo News)
  3. The 2022 Brooklyn Marathon is set to kick off from Prospect Park on Sunday. The new route was approved last year as the only major marathon aside from the New York Marathon and will bring a new set of road closures and parking changes for residents to take note. (Patch)
