BROOKLYN, NY — A deadly feud between Brooklyn neighbors ended in bloodshed Monday when a 70-year-old man was fatally stabbed inside his home, police said.

Police said Fredrick Howard was stabbed in the chest during a clash with 31-year-old Josny Jean inside the East 87th Street building they both called home, just off Avenue M in Canarsie.

When officers received the call, they learned Howard had already been taken by private means to Brookdale Hospital with stab wounds to the chest, where he was pronounced dead Monday.

Jean was taken into custody Monday night in connection with the fatal stabbing, officials said. Both men lived in the same building, though it’s unclear if they shared an apartment.

The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office confirmed Jean was scheduled for arraignment Tuesday, but other details were not immediately available.
