Man Fatally Shot Himself On Brooklyn Street, Police Say
The identity of the victim has not been released pending family notification.

BROOKLYN, NY — A 20-year-old man fatally shot himself in the stomach outside a Brooklyn apartment complex Wednesday evening, police announced.
Officers found the victim in front of 2326 West 8 Street in Gravesend around 5:30 p.m.

He was transported to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Initially, police thought that the man had been shot by someone else but later determined that was there no criminality involved.

Surveillance video obtained by police showed the gunshot wound was self-inflicted, according to reports.
