EAST NEW YORK, NY — A 38-year-old was fatally shot at his East New York home Tuesday afternoon in broad daylight, police said.

Shawn Coley, 38, of Brooklyn, was shot in the chest about 2:20 p.m. Tuesday at his residence on Vermont Street between New Lots and Hegeman Avenues, according to the NYPD.

The man was rushed to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

His shooter had not been caught Wednesday and police continued to investigate.
