Man Fatally Stabbed, Woman Injured In East Flatbush, Cops Say

A 60-year-old man was fatally stabbed in East Flatbush last week, and his suspected attacker now faces charges.

BROOKLYN, NY — A man and woman were stabbed — one fatally —inside an East Flatbush apartment last week, police said Monday.

Harris Sylvester, 71, of Brooklyn was arrested and charged Friday with murder and attempted murder related to the stabbing, police said.

Police found James Quigley, 60, dead Wednesday about 1:25 p.m. in the bedroom of an apartment on Willmohr Street between East 91st and East 92nd Street, according to the NYPD.

A 49-year-old woman was also found stabbed but rushed to an area hospital in stable condition Wednesday, police said.
