Man Found Dead On NYC Subway Platform, Police Say
The assault prompted reroutes on the B and Q lines Wednesday morning, causing additional rush hour delays, the MTA said.

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are investigating after a man’s body was discovered early Wednesday morning on a Brooklyn subway platform.
Officers responding to reports of an assault found an adult man unconscious and unresponsive around 2:30 a.m. at the Prospect Park subway station, police said. He had suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the MTA, the man was struck by a train but did not fall onto the tracks. An NYPD spokesperson said he was found on the platform and could not confirm whether he was hit by the train or how the incident occurred.

Police confirmed Wednesday morning that no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending family notification.

The incident unfolded about 2:30 a.m., and delays persisted on the D, N, B, and Q lines hours later, according to MTA posts.
Q trains bound for Coney Island are running along the N line from Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center, according to the MTA. Some Manhattan-bound Q trains are terminating at Prospect Park and turning around to resume Coney Island-bound service, the agency said.
Downtown B trains are operating on the D line from Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center to Coney Island–Stillwell Avenue. Manhattan-bound B trains are ending at Prospect Park and reversing for downtown service.
